Warren Buffett and Charlie Rose video discussing the economy and stock market

Note: Video length 55 min. Its an education and investment watching Mr Buffett talk about everything that is happening and I am sure will be one of the most talked about videos in the years to come…

While it is true that without a vision the people will perish, it is doubly true that without action the people and their vision will perish, as well. — Johnnetta Betsch Cole

Web based tools to help track your business or personal life

Ok, this is a great find and the techo in yours truly is happy.

Over at FlowingData they have created an article called: 23 Personal Tools to Learn More About Yourself. I am impressed with RescueTime. What RescueTime does is track everything that you define while on your PC and creates a data trend and analysis of what you have been doing. Very powerful stuff which can be highly useful if you are running a business for instance.

I have only just started using this RescueTime tonight, however once I learn more about the application I will write a more comprehensive review.

Thanks to: FlowingData.

John F. Kennedy

The problems of the world cannot possibly be solved by skeptics or cynics whose horizons are limited by obvious realities. We need men who can dream of things that never where.

Light Posting

Hi everyone. I just wanted to chime in and let you all know that the posting will be a little light here for a little while. Other priorities in my life are consuming time but once these are sorted I will revert back to a more frequent posting schedule.  smile

Joey by Concrete Blond

Joey, Baby- Don’t get Crazy,
Detours, Fences,
I get Defensive

I know you’ve heard it all before,
So I dont say it anymore,
I just stand by and let you fight your secret war.
And though I used to wonder why,
I used to cry till I was dry,
Still sometimes I get a strange pain inside.

Oh, Joey, if you’re hurtin’, so am I.

Joey, Honey
I’ll save all my money
All is forgiven.
Listen, listen.

And if I seem to be confused,
I didn’t mean to be with you.
And when you said I scared you,
Well, I guess you scared me too.
But we got lucky once before,
And I don’t wanna close the door.
And if you’re somewhere out there,
and passed out on her floor.

Oh Joey, I’m not angry anymore.
(instrumental break)

And if I seem to be confused,
I didn’t mean to be with you.
And when you said I scared you,
Well, I guess you scared me too.
But if it’s love you’re looking for,
Well, I can give a whole lot more.
And if you’re somewhere drunk and
passed out on the floor.
Oh Joey, I’m not angry anymore.

Angry anymore…

Angry anymore…

Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol

We’ll do it all
Everything
On our own

We don’t need
Anything
Or anyone

If I lay here
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me and just forget the world?

I don’t quite know
How to say
How I feel

Those three words
I said too much
They’re not enough

If I lay here
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me and just forget the world?

Forget what we’re told
Before we get too old
Show me a garden that’s bursting into life

Let’s waste time
Chasing cars
Around our heads

I need your grace
To remind me
To find my own

If I lay here
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me and just forget the world?

Forget what we’re told
Before we get too old
Show me a garden that’s bursting into life

All that I am
All that I ever was
Is here in your perfect eyes, they’re all I can see

I don’t know where
Confused about how as well
Just know that these things will never change for us at all

If I lay here
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me and just forget the world?

Qantas takes delivery of their new Airbus A380

As an aviation buff it was exciting to hear that Qantas has taken delivery of their new Airbus A380 today in Toulouse, France.

The aircraft is due to land at Sydney’s Kingsford Smith Airport this coming Sunday.

While I was reading the press release I went to another section of the Airbus website and played around with the Airbus A380 Navigator. Basically, you can see a whole range of details about the plane, which parts of the plane come from which countries, the testing procedures used for certification, and all the technologies used to build the biggest and quietest aircraft in the world.

What to look for with bounce rates of your website

One of the main aspects of working on a website is the gathering and analysis of data in a measurable form. Google Analytics does a great job of this and it is what I use on Naturalself.Org.

I will not create a post about how all this is done because Maki of DoshDosh has created a great article on what to look for with bounce rates and I highly recommend you pop over and have a good read. It is very well written and of great value.

The Naturalself Photo Gallery is now open

For almost 20 years I’ve been taking images as part of my interest in visual arts. There is always something about producing an image, a moment in time that can never be repeated. It is only now after a short break due to other priorities in life that I have returned to the medium with vigour.

So I would like to announce that The Naturalself Photos is now open and as always your comments are welcome.
